At Bearded Viking Mead Co., the mission goes beyond making mead—it’s about bringing people together. Built on values like faithfulness, diversity, teamwork, and camaraderie, their “Meadups” are meant to connect friends, family, and new acquaintances.
Founded by JT “Viko the Dreaded One” Robertson, a 14-year military veteran, Bearded Viking began during the pandemic in 2019 as a personal pursuit to create something meaningful from honey. He calls their approach “a new take on an old drink,” aiming to push the boundaries of traditional mead while honoring its ancient roots.
Supporting Viko are key team members:
Alex “Jarl” Martinez (COO), who met Viko in business school and now drives operations and outdoor inspiration for the brand.
Ryon “Doc” Sim (CIFO), a longtime IT & healthcare professional who helps manage finance, IT systems, and even fieldwork—balancing tech & wilderness.
Rudy “The Boat” Martinez (Creative Director), whose background in print and design elevates visual branding, marketing, and the clever artistic touches you see on their bottles.
