About Montana State University

Located in beautiful Bozeman, Montana, Montana State University has been part of the Treasure State's story since 1893. Originally founded as the Agricultural College of the State of Montana, MSU has grown into a leading public research university while staying true to its Montana roots.

Home of the beloved Bobcats, MSU brings together academic excellence, agricultural heritage, innovation, and a strong sense of community. Generations of students, alumni, families, and fans have proudly worn the blue and gold, carrying their Bobcat spirit far beyond the university campus.

From the excitement of Bobcat Stadium to the traditions of Cat-Griz rivalry games, Montana State is more than a university. It's a piece of Montana pride.
